If you use the stock Mail app on your iPhone to stay updated on the latest emails that arrive in your mailbox, then it is probably piled up with lots of emails that haven’t been read yet. iOS provides a range of handy tools for organizing your mailboxes so that you can view the most important emails first and today we are going to show you a useful trick that many are unaware of.
In the stock Mail app, you can filter your emails so that you will view only those messages that have an attachment. In this article, we will show how you can enable this option or filter on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.
How to filter mails with attachments in iOS Mail app
Step 1: Launch the Mail app
Step 2: Head to the Mailboxes page where a list of all your email accounts are shown. Tap on the Edit button in the top right corner.
Step 3: You’ll see a list of options for filtering your emails. Scroll down and you’ll find an option labelled Attachments. Tick the option by tapping on it and then press the Done button.
Step 4: Once you press the Done button, you’ll view the Mailboxes list again. You should now see a new option called Attachments. Tap on it to open and you’ll now view the emails that have an attachment. All the other emails that don’t have any attachment will not be displayed in this list.
In this way, you can quickly view emails with attachments than if you were to go through your entire mailbox to find the ones that have an attachment. Using the same method outlined above, you can also filter your emails to view the ones that have been received today, have been flagged, are saved in draft etc. You can also rearrange the options to place the important ones at the top of the list.
