Find Your iPhone using Apple Watch

Most of us must have been in a situation where the iPhone gets lost in the house. I have faced such a situation many times and always end up trying to remember where I last left the iPhone.

If you own an Apple Watch, you can reduce this frustration by using it to easily locate your iPhone. The Apple Watch allows you to find your iPhone by sending a ping notification to your device so that it starts playing a sound and turns on the flashlight if needed. In this article, we’ll show how you can use your Apple Watch to locate your iPhone.

How to use Apple Watch to locate your iPhone

Step 1: Get hold of your Apple Watch and press the digital crown to see the watch face.

Step 2: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access the Glances screen

Step 3: Now swipe left or right to go through a series of available buttons such as Airplane Mode, Do Not Disturb and Notifications. There is one button that has the icon of an iPhone with sounds emitting. This is used to ping your iPhone by causing it to play a notification sound. Once tapped, a message called “Pinging iPhone” is shown on your Apple Watch.

Step 4: By now, you should start searching for your iPhone as it has started playing a notification sound.

You can also activate the iPhone LED flash using your Apple Watch if it’s lying somewhere in a dark room. To do that, instead of tapping the button in step 3, you need to tap and hold on it for a few seconds until the message “Pinging iPhone” appears. This will enable the flashlight on your iPhone making it easier to be located if it’s lost in a dark room. Additionally, this feature works even when the iPhone is in silent mode.

Surely, you will sometimes forget where you placed your iPhone due to its compact size and it’s a nightmare to find it when it gets lost in a rare place. With an Apple Watch, you can locate your iPhone much easily and quicker.
