Where is the contacts list in the updated WhatsApp version? In this tutorial, we will show you how to view your contacts list in the new WhatsApp Update for iOS and Android
By now, most of you must have received the latest update of WhatsApp which adds a new feature called WhatsApp Status. This is quite similar to Snapchat Stories where you can share the latest happenings using photos and videos that can be viewed by all or some of your contacts.
While this is an exciting new feature, most users, including me, were confused where the contacts list disappeared. Previously, it was available as a separate tab in WhatsApp, but after the latest update, the contacts tab is gone. If you’re reading this article, then you’re probably confused as well. But don’t worry, we got you covered.
In this post, we will show you how to find and view your contacts list in the updated WhatsApp version in iOS or Android.
How to View the Contacts List in the New WhatsApp Version
Step 1: Open WhatsApp.
Step 2: Go to the Chats tab.
Step 3: Press on the compose icon located in the top right corner.
Step 4: This is where your entire contacts list will be displayed. To start a conversation with any contact, simply tap on their name in the list.
That’s all you need to do to view your contacts list in the new WhatsApp update. I still prefer the old design where the contacts were listed in a separate tab and could be accessed quickly, but let’s hope that WhatsApp brings this back.
Another concern that users have about the new WhatsApp update is who can view their Status posts. We previously showed you how to set the privacy of WhatsApp Status and you can read about it here:
