Here’s how you can delete the iOS 10.2 Yalu jailbreak and remove Cydia from iPhone or iPad without restoring using OSRestoreX.
Jailbreaking your iOS 10 device is an exciting moment, but as time passes, you install more and more Cydia tweaks that start to slow down your iPhone and even create issues.
Unfortunately, restoring your device and re-jailbreaking is not an option as your device gets updated to the latest firmware which may not be jailbreakable. As of this writing, the latest firmware is iOS 10.3 which cannot be jailbroken with the Yalu jailbreak.
The good news is that there is a Cydia package that removes the iOS 10 Yalu jailbreak from your device and restores it while staying on the same firmware. This means that your device will not be updated to the latest firmware after the restore.
In today’s tutorial, we will show you how to delete the iOS 10 Yalu jailbreak and remove Cydia while staying on the same firmware version.
Before proceeding, read these important points:
- This method will erase all the data on your jailbreak device, so make sure that you take a complete backup using iTunes or iCloud.
- If you have App Admin installed, then remove it first.
- If you already have Stashing installed from another repo, then remove it and install the one from Coolstar’s repo, which is mentioned in the guide below.
