safari push notifications

In this tutorial, we will show you how to disable and stop receiving push notifications from websites on Mac.

Certain browsers such as Safari and Google Chrome allow websites to ask for permission for sending push notifications to your Mac. Push notifications are usually used by blogs and news websites to notify you of the latest articles and news.

Some websites can misuse this feature and send you too many push notifications or maybe you just don’t want to receive push notifications from any website. Luckily, it’s very easy to disable push notifications in Mac for all websites or only some of them.

In today’s guide, we will show you how to turn off and stop receiving push notifications from websites on Mac.

How to Disable Push Notifications from Websites on Mac

Step 1: Click on the Apple logo in the menu bar and choose System Preferences.

Step 2: Click on Notifications.

Step 5: Continue doing the same thing for all the websites that you want to stop receiving push notifications from.

That’s it! Now these websites will no longer send you any push notification. If you’d like to re-enable push notifications from a disable website, simply follow the same steps as above, but this time set the alert style from None to either Banners or Alerts.
